Andil Gosine is Professor of Environmental Arts and Justice at York University, Canada, and author of Nature’s Wild: Love, Sex and Law in the Caribbean. His research and art practices attend to imbrications of ecology, power and desire. Dr. Gosine held the 2024 Beinecke Fellowship at the Clark Art Institute in the United States, and in 2025, was awarded research fellowships at the Wereldmuseum’s Research Centre for Material Culture in the Netherlands, and from the Fondation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme in France, in support of his forthcoming project, Coolie Créole: Art for and against “Us.”
